The meaning of the number 1

The number 1 is the symbol of unity.

Whereas odd numbers are usually male (and even numbers female) the number 1 is considered to be neither and both. Adding the number 1 to an even number creates an odd number. Adding the number 1 to an odd number creates an even number.

Personality traits of the number 1

The number 1 is associated with leadership and sometimes aggression. People associated with the number 1 are often independent, goal driven and likely to succeed.

Letter numeric values for the number 1

The letter A is equivalent with the number 1. The letters J and S are often also associated with the number 1.

Using the Chaldean method of number mapping the letters A, I, J, Q and Y are associated with the number 1.

In Cantonese Chinese numerology the number 1 means ‘sure’.
