Six-legged calf survives against the odds

March 30, 2012 by Andrew 1 Comment

When Lilli was born vets were certain she wouldn’t survive. However, the little calf has defied the odds and despite being born with a serious mutation – six legs; two of which hang from her back – she seems to be doing well.

The six-legged calf was born in a Swiss farm. The farmer, Andreas Knutti has said he’ll be happy to keep Lilli in the farm even if it turns out she doesn’t produce any milk. At the time he said he couldn’t bring himself to euthanise the calf because she seemed so full of life. Right now, Lilli and her six legs are proving to be quite a tourist attraction.
