The term lightworker is used in two common ways; the first is in a spiritual way and the second holistically.

Lightworker: Spiritual
Lightworkers are people devoted to the elevation of inner presence, peace and harmony. Some describe lightworkers as being an evolution in humankind and progression towards reaching the state of “LightBeing”, others suggest that everyone is a lightworker and that these two statements are mutually inclusive.
Lightworkers enjoy helping others. Through their connection with Beings of Light and their inner light-self lightworkers are able to help encourage and share happiness, tranquillity and love. This ability may manifest simply by talking to others, by acts of deliberate healing or through positive thinking.
Life exists for a purpose and lightworkers are able to help the light of that inner and true purpose shine through the dark illusions of trouble and concern. This light, this energy, has many names; chi, prana or aether.
Lightworkers range from a number of different religions and ideologies. The philosophy of a lightworker is the truth of the inner self and the power of the light.
Lightworker: Holistic
The term lightworker is also often used as a generic term for any healer who looks beyond conventional wisdom and medicines. For example, a consultant who offers reiki, crystal healing and feng shui may be described simply as a ‘lightworker’.
