Dreams in which you are bitten by a flying animal can be complex to decipher but often worth the attempt.
Being bitten is often a suggestion that there is an element of hostility being directed towards you.
However, this element of hostility can be very minor and almost trivial. Dreams in which you are bitten by flying insects or a flying insect often represent those situations where there is a nuisance in your life – either now, or coming – rather than anything more serious or sinister than that.
Feathers in dreams often represent thoughts, hopes, pride but also vanity and false pride. Goose feathers or large white feathers, on the other hand, more often represent wanderlust, foolishness or group conformity.
If you’re bitten by a large white-feathered creature in a dream then it suggests the foolish actions of a crowd might cause you problems. The nature of those problems may involve travelling.
Being bitten by a creature that dived from the sky suggests loss and hurt are likely. The action of moving from rooftop to rooftop or house to house is one which suggests divorce or the ending of a relationship.
As is always the case in dreams there are some exceptions. The snake is an animal which often bites in dreams. A flying snake is no different – the feathers suggest thoughts, hopes or pride and the snake itself represents wisdom.
Being bitten by a flying snake (a dream with echoes of Aztec gods) is one which suggests an injection of wisdom but the need for travel too. Such a dream may suggest you will learn something important on your travels, that a traveller will bring you important wisdom or that the wise thing for you to do is to travel.
A bite from a creature which then flew into the sky and out of sight is an unfortunate dream. It can suggest that you will be bothered and upset by the ending of a life. If the biting animal flies into an unknown house then this dream can also suggest the danger of death.
Dream catchers and other methods are sometimes used by people who are dreaming of being bitten by flying animals as a way to protect themselves from the possible negative consequences of the dream.

I just awoke from a really strange dream. The part that had to do with the flyIng animal goes somethIng like this…. I'm in a room of an old house that I grew up in…. The room has sliding doors (windows) on three sides and was among family and friends. Suddenly, a bird (looks like a house finch) is flying in front of my face… Very slow motio …. And I can reach out and catch it – and I do. As I'm holding the bird, and examining it in front of everyone, I notice that even though I though it was a finch (or something like it) when I caught it, it now seems to have characteristics of a small owl. So I announce that to everyone and continue showing people, it bites me, but with teeth. It is then that I notice that it is a bat… My sister also gets nicked a little. When I realize my error, I realize that we are in danger as we do not have the appropriate equipment to handle a bat… So I ask for iodine for my sister and I and go outside to release the bat. As it fly away, I hear sreeming as if someone is in pain. I exmamine the sky and realize that somehow the bat has.caught fire… It continues to scream as it burns and flys toward power lines… where it tries to hang, but electrocutes itself and dies…
I had a dream that I was walking through a field of short grass and a large green snake jumped up and bit my hand and did not let go. I tried to shake off the snake but could not. Then the snake turned into a black bird and was still locked onto my hand. So I then started pound my hand to the ground until I broke the neck of the bird. The dream ended with me staring at my bloody hand. I can’t seem to shake the dream out of my head
In my dream this white bird with a long sharp beak kept biting my back & leaving me with terriable pain & marks. As this was happening I was in the water trying to get away from it.
I dreamt that a bat but my little finger but the bag was straight through my finger and was dead.what does this mean.
I had a really long dream which started in my living room where I was walking (think my late father was in the room also but cannot be sure) then I felt a stinging pain on my right finger. When I looked at it I saw a really weird white but really small almost feather or fluffy like white thing which sort of almost drifted in the air.
I looked back at my finger and noticed I had been poisoned by it and there was a small black mark on my finger.
I had to find help so I found a man who happened to be an ambulance driver who helped me then he went of course and this is where the dream gets wacky.
Ended up going on an unwanted travelling trip then I had to escape from some violent young people might even of been adults and children then I was in a deserted room and asked Steven dry whether I would die form the bite and he said it would turn my flesh or insides into tenderised meat!
Weird dream with many symbols in it I’m sure. Just would love to know what it means and this site has come closest I think.
