The Solar Sinter Project

June 26, 2011 by Andrew Leave a Comment

The Solar Sinter Project may be an art project at its heart but it puts the focus on some important issues. We have a resources shortage and we have an energy shortage. However, are are types of energy we’re not shy of – like the sun and types of resources we still have plenty of – like sand.

The solar sinter is a device which takes its power from the rays of the Sahara sun while using the sand from the same desert to make glass sculptures.
