Do you pay more for quality? Occasionally, I will, and the next time I’m in the market for proper kitchenware, the 100-year-old Le Creuset will be a contender.
The company was founded by two Belgian designers, one specialised in casting and the other in enamelling. They worked out how to enamel. The result is enamelled cast iron, which is robust and perfect for cooking.
Le Creuset has a Halloween collection, and you can get incredibly tough cast iron casserole pots shaped like pumpkins.
Cast Iron pumpkin

Buckle up—this pot will cost nearly £270! You can also cook 3.7l of food in it on a grill, oven, hob, or cooktop—the cast iron locks in moisture while retaining heat.
Pumpkin butter dish

The cute little cast iron pumpkin here is much smaller, but you can still use it for baking, such as cheese or desserts like pot de creme. The cost is smaller, too, at £67.
Halloween stoneware

These Halloween dishes are really there to impress your friends, and the set of four is not made from cast iron. These little devils are stone. While they’re intended to serve sauce and nibbles, you can still cook in them.

Every Le Creuset Casserole undergoes meticulous hand inspection by 40 skilled craftsmen to ensure flawless curves and details. The vibrant colours, including the signature volcanic orange inspired by molten iron, are achieved through precise pigment mixing and a minimum of two layers of enamel.
After hand-finishing, each piece undergoes rigorous inspection and safety testing. Finally, the iconic kitchen tools are completed with the addition of spare parts such as knobs and handles.
