The Ultimate Pet Show this year will attempt to find Britain’s Most talented Pet. Held in the NEC Birmingham, this year, between the 2nd of May and the 4th of may the Ultimate Pet Show will feature dancing dogs, singing horses and piano playing pussy-cats.

Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson will feature alongside judges Kevin Sacre, the UnderDog winner, and Marc Abraham, TV vet and the dog behaviourist Carolyn Meneith.

The winner of the competition – held on the 2nd of May – will walk off with prizes worth £250 including a digital camera and a professional pet photography shoot*.

This year looks like a busy year for the Ultimate Pet Show as families on credit crunch budgets look to find cost effective fun.  The event will feature pet-care tips and advice, an exotic and reptile zone, face painting, a naturally healthy café and an adopt-a-pet option. A Dudley Zoo keeper is slated as one of the main attractions.

Kids under five enter for free and on the door tickets for adults cost £15. Tickets can be booked online from the Ultimate Pet Show website.

We’ve had emails asking about professional pet photography. Yes; this actually happens and many people recommend pet photoshoots as fantastic presents for pet lovers*.

Are events like Britain’s Most Talented Pet cruel? Or does The Ultimate Pet Show encourage people to treat their pets as well as can be? Should money be spent on professional pet photoshoots or pet insurance instead?

Did you go? What did you think?
