The ghost of the Polar Bear Fish Bar

April 17, 2009 by Andrew Leave a Comment

The fish and chip shop in Bridgwater, Somerset known as the Polar Bear Fish Bar, is being invested by paranormal investigators.

Staff at the chippy contacted BBC News after a series of unexplained events. One worker reported whistling in from the kitchen and another explained how a heavy pot was found on the floor. The BBC sent the cameras in and called in paranormal investor.

Earlier this week, Carla Richards who has owned the shop for less than a year, told the local newspaper, “I bought it in July and started noticing things within about a month.

“We work quite late some days where we see and hear weird things and we see things move out of the corner of our eyes.

“I have run out of the shop before because doors were just shutting behind me – and I was there on my own.

“Our saucepans have been mysteriously moved neatly down on the floor as well – we’ve been tripping over them.”

The shop has started to sell ghost burgers. Is this just a clever business ploy or do you think the staff at the Polar Bear Fish Bar really are worried the chip shop is haunted?
